IPv6 and the CCNA Exam

Hi TekCert,
I've completed Jeremy's CBTnuggets.com ICND1&2 video series.  Jeremy does a wonderful job teaching; his humor and enthusiasm really inspired me while going through the lessons.  I'm fortunate enough to have the equipment to walk through the steps with the videos and I strongly recommend both setting up an inexpensive home lab (three used 3640s and 2950 routers and switches can be had for ~$200-300, for example) and Jeremy's videos.
So I believe I'm ready for the exam, but I see that the IPv6 Forum and Cisco got together and getting your CCNA gives you a IPv6 Forum (Silver) Certified Engineer status.  My concern is if the ICND2 test has been changed to more heavily rely on IPv6.  Can anyone tell me if Jeremy's CCNA lessons (the 2 final lessons of the ICND2 series specifically) are adequate preparation for the IPv6 materials?
Many thanks and Kind regards

Jeremy's ICND videos are certainly helpful, but I wouldn't say they're the only thing you'll need to prepare. I'd recommend reading the exam certification guide from Cisco Press. Also, check the exam topics to see and review what is covered on the exam to ensure you understand all of the topics. The exam topics can be found here.

The fact that you have gear to practice on is great! That should help you with your studies tremendously. Good luck on the test!

Good luck Andrew.

Off-topic. I recently passed the CCNA exam and applied for the IPv6 Forum Certified Engineer (Silver) logo through their website. They replied to me via email and said that I'm not qualified for it since I don't have real world experience yet and recommended to pass CCNP instead. It says on their document though (and the Cisco site) that IPv6 experience is not required. It's confusing.

Thank you Adam and Keenkin for the good wishes!

I passed my CCNA, but on the second try. Preparing with *only* CBT Nuggets and a home lab with about a month of studying I was less than 3% from passing. After failing I reviewed the CBT 'nuggets' on the topics I did poorly on and investigated anything on the CCNA list from CISCO I wasn't familiar with. I took the test a week later and exclaimed a very heart-felt "Thank God" when I saw I passed!

The test was much more difficult than I imagined. My second time through it was actually less practical and more book knowledge than my first go (the practical knowledge is my strong point). I would prefer the tests to be 100% simulation! :D Almost every question was different my second time taking the test

As per IPv6 ... I have to be vague per Cisco's rules but you really have to pay attention to every bit of the non-practical parts of the CBT nugget on it

Good luck to all future CCNA takers! I'm preparing for my CCNA Security now (with Jeremy@CBTNuggets's videos)

I did my ccna(640-802) exam today and failed. I was 143 points away for the required mark to pass my exam.I am heart broken.I want to use the cbtnuggets ccna videos and todd book ccna 6th edition plus questions from testking. If anyone has some ideas please let me know because i want to retake the exam after two weeks, that's on the 7th of next month.I think i wasted a lot of time on some questions instead of spending that time working on the simulations, the exam was fair but i guess i messed up big time.
